O Come, O Come Immanuel

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
Isaiah 7:14

The Advent hymn “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel” is built around this anticipation by taking the language of Israel’s anticipation of the first coming of the Messiah and filling the hearts of Christians with the almost impatient waiting of the Second Coming.

Christmas Moments II is a series on the True Man Podcast.

On each episode in the series, Ed Blonski shares a devotional story about a Christmas song. You’ll then hear an original arrangement by Richard Souther.

The stories come from the book Christmas Moments II – An Epic Journey of Biblical Proportion. You can purchase a paperback copy here (and you’ll get a Kindle version for free!).
