The Bible teaches that Jesus remains “the same yesterday, today, and forever.” It also teaches that all things are in God’s hands, that He has a plan for each person who has ever lived.
After Jesus’ resurrection from the dead – that secured for the forgiveness of sins won on the cross – he would appear to his disciples in various places over a period of forty days.
We sin against God. In repentance we say, “I’m sorry.” And God says to us, “I forgive you.” Such powerful words!
With the power of God’s love for us, we can share the love of God with the lost and erring in the cities, in the towns, in the country-side!
Traveling children often ask “are we there yet?” numerous times on a trip. In our journey through Lent, we might be asking the same thing right about now.
God hears our groans. All the way from heaven. All the way across the centuries. And He looked down on our imprisonment and sent Jesus to us.
